Pearson VUE wins Iowa Insurance Division bid process to continue insurance exam delivery


BLOOMINGTON, MN, 16th November, 2016 – The Iowa Insurance Division has extended its agreement with computer-based testing global leader Pearson VUE to develop and deliver its insurance licensing exams.

The announcement followed a competitive bid process as Pearson VUE neared the end of its current five-year contract.

Candidates can sit the 15 exams at any of Pearson VUE’s network of over 5,000 highly secure test centers in 180 countries around the world.

“I am delighted that the Iowa Insurance Division has chosen to renew its agreement with us,” said Bob Whelan, managing director of Pearson VUE. “This means that we can continue to improve the lives and careers of insurance professionals across the state.”

He added: “We will continue to maximize the speed and efficiency with which candidates can register and take state-mandated insurance exams through this continued partnership.”

The insurance commissioner grants permission to companies wishing to sell insurance in Iowa and has general control over all aspects of their business, from the forms they use to the rates they charge.
